Yarraman Park’s exciting young sire Hellbent made his presence felt during the first session of the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale on Thursday with a colt from Queen of Kandy selling for $160,000.
Consigned by SledmereStud, the colt was bought by DR Pinhook, the pinhooking arm of Darby Racing and was the best result for any first season sire on the day.
He is the first foal of Queen of Kandy, a winning full sister to Group II winner Master Harry from the family of Group I winner Under the Louvre.
Queen of Kandy is now in foal to another young sire son of I Am invincible in Super One.
Hellbent stands at a fee of $22,000 this spring.
